Yes an amplifier can be added to the Clearstream 4 max. Amplifiers do not always improve a weak signal because it can only add power to signal after it hits the antenna. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If a strong enough signal isn't getting to the antenna, it won't help. I'm 60 miles from a transmitter, and the antenna does better than average.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only thing to watch out for when using a booster is that you might get a new channel that is stronger (and therefore causes the first channel to disappear when scanning for channels on TV). If you can find a booster with a signal gain control a small adjustment of the gain would bring in both channels. Watch out for your Smart TV rescanning when it loses a signal and removes the channel because it can’t find it! This happened to me when I had to rescan because one of the local channels changed the frequency it used to broadcast and suggested all antenna owners had to rescan their TV channels to get the channel on the new frequency. The signal gain control had to figured out, but I finally got the gain control set (after a few adjustments and checks) so that I got the channel back that I lost. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You sure can. Any antenna preamplifier will work. I currently have the Winegard LNA-200 and the RCA TVPRAMP1Z in use at different houses. They both help to pull in the distant signals with more consistent signal strength.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The best approach here is to problem solve through trial and error. Sometimes an antenna amplifier/signal booster has increased the signal of the reception and in other situations, the amplifier/signal booster did nothing to improve reception. I always try it with no antenna, with antenna, and with antenna amplifier and compare results.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can. I am using a cable amplifier and it works amazingly well. I live 52 miles from my broadcast market and get every station.
