We used the coaxial wires from our former satellite provider to successfully connect 4 televisions. No amplifier was needed. The antenna was mounted near where the satellite dish was located. Installation took about 60 minutes. Scanning the channels on each television was what consumed most of our time but it is well worth the time spent. I hope this helps you out.

Its also dependent upon the distance from your broadcast market. I am 52 miles from my broadcast market and use an amplifier and a splitter for only 2 TVs. I get every channel, without dropout.
