“We live in an apartment complex, second floor of 3 in the Northernmost apartment. Window on the west side, TV on the north side 5' from the window. Almost all stations come from the South to Southeast. Will the Clearstream 4 V, model C4-V-CJM help any?”

Line of sight to the station antennas is important for the antenna to pick up the signal. From your description, it sounds like you have the entire building between you and the towers. If that is true I think the antenna will struggle. That said, you can always give it a shot and see.
