“It looks cumbersome to place in the house and photos show it mounted in an attic. Attic mount for me is not an option. Can it be mounted in a basement or garage?”

We mounted our antenna in our furnace room upstairs. Not in an attic.

A garage is a good alternative to the attic, as long as the roof and siding is not metal or stone. The best place for an antenna is outdoors where the home is not a factor.
