Just doing the math out loud...the box says 2.5 hours @ 10 watts...so standby-wise, you should be good for a week or so (168 hours) hours of standby. BUT bear in mind...the longer the standby, the weaker the battery gets. What good is standby, if the battery's shot when you go to use it? Why leave it on standby in a power failure? Unplug the power module if your power goes out...then only plug it in when you need to activate it.

1.2A is a healthy draw. I'd be a little cautious before depending on this unit to operate anything with a decent-sized electric motor. If it were me, I'd go a step or two bigger to be sure.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately we don't recommend using our BackUPS units with a motorized load. One potential issue is the inrush current draw for a motor can easily overload a BackUPS unit. BackUPS are ideal for computer equipment and may result in the erratic behavior when connected to a motor. To protect this type of equipment, APC recommends first determining the appropriate size UPS for the motor load in question and ensure the UPS is large enough to handle the start-up inrush current draw of the motor. Secondly, select a UPS which outputs a pure sine wave when on battery, such as a Smart-UPS.
