Thank you for reaching out to us. You can plug your modem and router into one of our UPS or a surge protector. The benefit to using the UPS over a surge protector is if there is small power outage the modem and router will stay on since they would be protected by a battery back up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This may not provide the same surve protection as what you have. Check the joule rating. These have some protection for that. But for what it may lack in spike protection it more than makes up for with battery backup. For me these are a no brainer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is by far my recommended method. The reason i say that is because it is battery protected if the power flickers or goes out. In other words, you lose power, you'll still have an internet/network connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on how important battery backup is to you. If you don't need backup, a quality surge protector is fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depending upon the dollar investment level in my modem and router, I would choose whether a surge-protected multi-outlet strip OR a true battery backup device is required. Another factor is whether or not the local power is "dirty" meaning prone to frequent fluctuations. If problematic, then, for sure, I would have an ups.
