Purchase an extra laptop battery. It's cheaper than any alternative except maybe a really long power cord.

The battery lifetime would be shortened if you remove the unit from input power multiple times. If the unit is going to be installed in your house this specific unit should work given the laptop draws under 255 watts of power. I just wouldn't use the BackUPSs for a portable power source to recharge your laptop.
