• it's a lead acid battery. Leoch DJW12-4.5. It's not user-serviceable though so you're warranty is voided once you open it up.

• Thank you for you inquiry. The battery is a lead acid battery. It is a 12V 5.1 AH battery. Also please note on this UPS the battery isn't user replaceable. If you wanted an user replaceable battery you would need to go with a BN650M1 which is the next step up.
