Yes, it will still charge the battery. While I was installing a new computer setup, which took me about 5 days due to my time constraints, I left my unit plugged into the 110v house outlet. The unit only had about a 65% charge as it had been used to power devices without being plugged into the 110v house outlet. When I plugged it into the 110v house outlet with the unit turned off, it charged the battery up to 100%.
