- Answer I assume open box means it possibly was on display in the store. I don’t think it would be used. I’m pretty sure they would have to indicate used in the description if it was a used iPad. As far as open box goes, if you don’t click on and choose open box, yours will not be one from an open box. If it isn’t open box, the box will be completely sealed in plastic when you get it.

Make sure you have a recent backup to restore from. ... Go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings. On the Apps & Data screen, tap Restore from iCloud Backup, then sign in with your Apple ID.
