128 GB is the internal memory. And the 50GB you are talking about is the iCloud memory. Essentially they are different.

128 gb is the internal storage of your new ipad. The 50 gb you are paying for monthly is the icloud storage for Apple. You can’t increase 128 gb on the ipad. You can save or delete some of your files on a laptop or computer to increase capacity of your ipad storage.
