Screen sizes are usually measured in a diagonal line from one corner to the opposite corner. The dimensions of the iPad, both the width and length of the whole tablet, will always be smaller. This also goes for all screens: tv, phone, etc. From google, the size of the iPad Pro 11 inch is 7.02" W and 9.74" L. I uploaded a picture to show this. Hope this helps.
