Yes, if you already have a phone and the phone and ipad are on the same wifi you can connect it to your phone and make receive calls. I really like this feature. -there is also the option of getting a voice over internet protocol or voip number, if you don't already have a phone. Or if you have a cellular model, a voip service would let you call from any where you have cell service on your ipad.
