Yes, our older model bent when tossed carelessly into a carry-on duffel bag kicked (literally) under the airplane seat in front of us. It did not have a protective case, keyboard, or foam bag offering an ounce of protection. We felt the loss was more on us than on Apple. We are still likely buying a new one and will be 10x more cautious!

I use my iPad mostly at home, and I had no issues with it. I just had to adjust to it weight, it’s a little bit heavier than the ipad air 2 I previously had.
