Apple was too cheap to add a $9 dongle to plug into your USB C charging port with all the money we paid for this iPad. You can either buy one of these dongles online or at select stores to use your regular headphones or buy a wireless Bluetooth headphone to pair with your iPad. Apple provides these with their new iPhones but not with any iPads. Hard to believe.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As earbuds go nothing really beats Bluetooth. As far as a good brand check Jaybird Tarah. Best Buy sells them and others. I like mine wired together I’d loose them. Look for waterproof and charge time vrs usage. The Jaybird has its own app that you can adjust the sound and if lost they have tracking.

As with many of Apple's latest devices, there is no headphone jack included. If you would like to have headphones connected to your new iPad, you have two options. 1) You can buy a usb to headphone jack dongle, which will allow you to plug in your headphones into the dongle, which connects to the iPad. If you prefer no wires, the next option may be for you. 2) You can also buy wireless headphones. If you are looking for something affordable, you can find Bluetooth headphones for around $15 (may include wire, but connect wirelessly) If you want seamless integration with your iPad and other Apple products, than something more expensive such as Airpods may be for you. Airpods are completely wireless and will automatically connect to any Apple device with a W1 chip (including most iphones, ipads, etc)

The sound quality is great. If you really want wired, you can purchase the power adapter headphone jack and go with any headphones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It does not come with headphones. Like all phones and tablets (as of 2019) Most do not come with the traditional 3.5MM Jack. you will need to opt-in for a Bluetooth headset, the air pods. Or get a USB Type C to 3.5mm adaptor
