• If you're wanting to wipe everything (this includes any documents/pictures/music/etc.) then you could boot into recovery by holding down command & r then open disk utility select the computers hard drive then select erase. Once it has completed erasing the drive you will need to quit disk utility and select re-install Mac OS.
