It works with Spotify, but not as nicely as it does with Apple Music.

Apple is only supporting Apple Music 
No other services & no Bluetooth to make it possible to play any others.

Yes you can use other services via AirPlay 2, but you won’t be able to tell Siri to play music from those services.

One you start playing them from your phone, tablet or computer you can use Siri to pause, play, skip, and adjustment volume.

If you are a iOS, macOS and/or tvOS user, Airplay is an awesome way to play media throughout your home or office.

If you’re not fully in on Apple’s ecosystem you may find some limitations a little frustrating though.
