A:Answer Home-Kit enabled devices are devices that are compatible with the "Home" app on your iPhone or iPad, the significance being, they're much easier to pair with the Home app (by scanning a HomeKit barcode) and you can control multiple smart home devices from a central app, versus having to download one app to control lighting, another to control your thermostat, another to control your doorbell, etc. These also will support voice control via Siri for simple commands -- i.e. Siri, turn off the bedroom lights. Or for scenes, for instance saying "Siri, it's move time" and Siri responding by turning off all the lights in your house except the living room lights, dimming the living room lights, lowering the thermostat temperature and locking the door (so basically, a sequence of actions).
