A: I found it comparable to the Sonos 3. Haven't played with it too much yet but it's pretty nice so far. Siri works for what I need it to do. I like Apple products, if you don't like Apple, there is no convincing.
Q: Can I connect this to my apple tv? or tv in general and use it as a home theater system as well?
A: Yes, you can connect it to your Apple TV and use it as a soundbar.
Q: Will the product comes with 8 different speakers or just only one speaker.
A: It comes with 8 different speakers. They are fortunately all inside of the Apple HomePod.
A: It is not battery powered. It requires to be plugged into an outlet to function.
Q: Is it better than the Google Home Mini? And is it worth it?
A: I asked myself the same question. This is more comparable with Google Max then google mini or google home. This video explains well all of the details and comparisons with Amazon Echo devices and Google Home devices - https://youtu.be/qkS6MnuvbCc Homepod is like Sonos+google mini or is a none brand description, a Wifi Speaker + Smart Speaker. Amazon Echo and Google Home/Mini are Smart speakers with the ability to play sound, not good quality sound.
A: Yes. HomePod support goes back all the way to iPhone 5s, 5th-generation iPad, iPad mini 2, first-generation iPad Air, and all sizes of iPad Pro. It also supports the sixth-generation iPod Touch. Your iOS device must be running on iOS 11.2.5 or later. HomePod will pair like AirPods, so when the device you're setting the HomePod up is within proximity, a card will popup on the screen with a picture of the HomePod. Pairing requires a password, which the HomePod can automatically enter by generating a special tone or Siri (via HomePod) can speak a code that you would enter on the iOS device. After that you'll select the home and room for your HomePod (this has to do with the 'Home' app) and HomePod will use your iOS device to automatically configure WiFi, iCloud and iTunes account settings. It's important to note that HomePod requires both Keychain and two-factor authentication to be enabled from 'Settings' on your iOS device(s).
A: Home-Kit enabled devices are devices that are compatible with the "Home" app on your iPhone or iPad, the significance being, they're much easier to pair with the Home app (by scanning a HomeKit barcode) and you can control multiple smart home devices from a central app, versus having to download one app to control lighting, another to control your thermostat, another to control your doorbell, etc. These also will support voice control via Siri for simple commands -- i.e. Siri, turn off the bedroom lights. Or for scenes, for instance saying "Siri, it's move time" and Siri responding by turning off all the lights in your house except the living room lights, dimming the living room lights, lowering the thermostat temperature and locking the door (so basically, a sequence of actions). Hope this helps and I'm recommending some HomeKit products for you to checkout below! Best regards.
Q: Can I preorder on Jan 26 through Best Buy?
A: My local Best Buy says yes
