I am very curious how does the treble and the highs sound. Most people are all about the bass, but I am more of a treble guy than bass. I like a clear crisp sound and without an EQ for to adjust I am worried I will be lacking the higher treble I like. null

The treble is very balanced and a bit rolled off and not what I would call a bright speaker. This will vary from track to track but I suggest listening to some of your favorite demo tracks to get a feel.

I discovered the sound quality is excellent when newer music is played, as opposed to older music before the digital age. For example, when I play the playlist called "The A List: Urbano Latino" it sounds great. Bass is deep and clean. Treble is crisp. When I play Eagles Essentials, it doesn't so as good. But I have realized its sound is not as good on any speakers, when put up against music that originated as digital and not analog. But most music recorded since the 2000's should sound great on the HomePod.

Yes you are right. I own this and it is all about the bass. 
Midtones are worst on this.

The highs are the most impressive range of the sound. Bass is as expected for such a small woofer. The highs were pretty impressive.

That is quite a subjective question without knowing what current audio setup you have to compare it to. The midrange is quite good the treble is laid back which is good since too much treble makes music very tiring after a while.
