• You would need to have Apple Music or iTunes Match to make sure your music is in the cloud. NO music is ON the HomePod. It like everything today is cloud based and needs wifi also to work.

• Transfer? I don't think so.. not directly. This is a network device... the iPod Classic is not. What you can do is get software (google it) that will down load your music from you iPod to a computer.. and then put that on the network. Though... isn't there someplace besides your iPod that has the music.
