Open box is because usually someone has returned it to the store. But it is still inspected before being sold again. Sometimes the item is still perfect, and sometimes it may have some light scratches or small damage so the item will be cheaper.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I got an open box and although it was listed as excellent condition, it was clearly well- used and not "like new". On the other hand, I have bought open box excellent before and the product looked perfect like I'd opened it brand new. So I figure from now, if I'm spending $800 on open box, may as well go for new for a bit more and get that fresh out of the box feeling. But sometimes you do luck out and save some money, plus if it doesn't look like what you want, you can always return it. Worth a shot.
