• How old is your iPad? The battery may be defective and would need to be replaced. If this is happening to a new iPad, you could have it repaired or replaced if your AppleCare is still in effect.

• No. Never had that problem with my old iPad 4. Always got a low battery warning with approximately 10% battery life left.

• Check with Apple I am not a technician I am a consumer like you. You should think before asking question if you tablet shuts down you have an issue replace it for a new one
