Questions & Answers (32)
  • Q: Will the iPad mini 6 work with accessories that complimented the iPad mini 5? Apple Pencil 1? Apple Keyboard? If not the jump to a faster processor and slightly bigger screen will be much more expensive than it would seem initially. (10 answers)

A: I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and guess that if the accessary is wired, then it probably won't work with this MINI because it appears they changed the port to a "C" from the "lightening" port of previous MINI's. Which means of course, none of the multitude of chargers I have will work. Unless they have a dongle -- another fidget to hang on to or lose. But, if your accessary is wireless, I don't know. They do say that the latest Apple Pencil, 2, is compatible, but, nothing in this description about previous pencils.
  • Q: How to transfer information from old I pad mini to this iPad mini 6, How is it done and how long does it take to do so, with pictures and files and emails (11 answers)

A: I simply started setting up my new iPad Mini 6, and it told me to hold my old iPad near it - and it copied EVERYTHING in just a few minutes. Literally minutes! It was amazing. Every single thing was copied. Easiest transfer I ever had in my life.
  • Q: What keyboard brand is best for the IPad mini 6th generation? (7 answers)

A: The keyboard case I choose was from HOU ultra slim wireless keyboard. The keyboard box states F22 Wings, I purchased it from Amazon. I choose this keyboard because the Mini IPad Slips between the cover and the inside back cover is magnetic. This allows the IPad to be in a horizontal or vertical position when typing. When not in use, the Ipad fits inside the case. It does not offer much protection, if dropped. My second choose was from Boriyuan, on Amazon. This case has a back cradle for the IPad and a place for a pencell. The keyboard is removable to allow both horizontal or vertical positions for the IPad. This is also highly rated and better protection, if dropped. If you do a lot of typing, Logitech is highly recommended. All other keyboard cases I looked at restrict you to a horizontal placement for the IPad.
  • Q: What is the difference between 64GB AND 256GB? What does GB mean? (5 answers)

A: GBs tell you how much space for storage you have. Things like photos, music, movies, some apps, and games can take up a lot of room on your device. If you don't really download much, and only surf the net or stream music and movies only, then you don't need a lot of storage. However, 64GB fills up faster than you think, and storage can't be upgraded later. If you can afford the extra $100+, get the 256GB. Unless you're a super downloader, that should be more than enough storage.
  • Q: Can this iPad connect to my cellular carrier? (10 answers)

A: No, that requires the cellular model.
  • Q: how often does this need to be updated 6 years? (7 answers)

A: Im not sure I understand your question. Normally apple offers updates for their products for a 5 year period after being released. This iPad will receive updates from now until 5 years from now. It does not need to be updated every time an update comes out but it is highly recommended.
  • Q: What is jelly scrolling? Is it noticeable? Does this iPad have it? (8 answers)

A: Jelly scrolling is an anomaly that can only be seen when in portrait mode on this tablet. When scrolling quickly the right side of the text seems to be lagging a little time behind the left side of the text on the screen, giving it a jelly type appearance. To be honest, you just about to be looking for it before you notice it. I found this particular problem to be a non-issue. The problem is most common on 60Hz displays. The iPad Pro’s all have the 120Hz display, so due to the higher refresh rate, do not have this issue. The lower end iPad also doesn’t have it; even though, it does have a 60Hz display. Why? Because of the screen size. The small screen size of the Mini just isn’t optimized for everything across the board. Portability has it’s trade-offs. I exchanged my Mini for an 11” iPad Pro, and I’m totally happy with that decision.
  • Q: what is difference between pencils 1 & 2? (10 answers)

A: The differences between the 1st and 2nd generation Apple Pencils are: -price -features -ways of charging -design The first gen Apple pencil is very round and rather slippery. It'll just roll off somewhere. Might want to put like a skin or a rubber cover on it so it doesn't slide. It also uses the extremely akward and poorly design lighting connector top that plugs in either in the IPad or using the included adapter from the box. It also has a cap to cover the top. The 1st gen Apple pencil is only compatible with IPads that have the classic design (large black or white bexels with touch ID home button) and lighnting port such as the IPad Generation series or the older 5th gen IPad mini. The cost of the 1st gen pencil is under a $100. The second gen Apple Pencil is the updated pencil that connects via magnets on the righhand side of the current (almost) all screen design IPads. These IPads are IPad Pro 2018- current year, IPad Air 4th gen and the new IPad Mini 6th gen. The pencil charges when connected on the side of the ipad via magnets and has features where you can double tap the squared off side to either erase or go back to previous tool. The pencil has a matte feel and due to having a squared off design on one side, it doesn't roll off (or at least not as easy.) The Apple Pencil 2nd Gen is $129.99. There is a lot more features available, but those are the main highlighted ones.
