Yes and No. Yes, a 27-inch iMac from 2011 can be used as an external monitor with Target Display Mode (TDM). TDM allows some iMac models to be used as external monitors for other Macs. The iMac must be running macOS High Sierra or earlier, and the Mac connecting to the iMac must have been released in 2019 or earlier, and running macOS Catalina or earlier So, that being said, I do not believe that the Mac Mini 2nd generation will work with this but the 1st gen shouldn't have an issue.
