“I have to buy my grand daughter a MacBook for Christmas and I'm so confused. How much difference is there between an "early 2015" to an early 2016 or newer? I don't want to have to return it because it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles.”

The Early 2015 and Early 2016 MacBook Air models are very similar. The 2016 is just a tiny bit newer, but your granddaughter likely won’t notice a difference. The 2015 model still works great for school, internet, videos, and light creative stuff. If you’re not looking for the latest and greatest, the 2015 should be just fine!
