I had this concern as well. So far so good and I’ve had it for a month. I also leave it on the charger for hours at a time and still haven’t had overheating issues.

As long as it’s on a hard service and not directly on your lap or a soft surface it shouldn’t ever overheat. I definitely recommend for any laptop to get a laptop “stand” for it if wanting to use it while on the couch or bed.
