Honestly I use the M2 for college and I used the 2020 pro m1 for HS and I would say they are the same as far as workload in my experience

Please try again later.M1 air is also great, it all depends on how will you use it, if just office stuff and sending emails and surfing the internet there will be no difference between both M1 and M2 and thus I recommned getting the M1 in the other hand if you will always question yourself why did I get an older version and I should've bought the newer M2,, Just Get the M2 without thinking.
