actually, there is a microphone jack located on the right side of the computer beside the 2 of 4 lightning jacks. It is round and is also used for speakers and headsets just like on any PC. Hope I'm not too late with this response, but you do not have to buy an adaptor. Not even sure there is such an adaptor for a microphone jack.
