• I honestly think it's just because Apple knows there's a higher demand for the black keyboard (it matches most desk setups and Macbook colouring). I don't think there's a difference in features or function - i.e. only the colour is the reason for the markup.

• No, there are no differences besides the color. As a warning, this keyboard is not illuminated (backlit).

• I imagine because the black one doesn’t appear as worn down as the silver after usage.
