A:AnswerThe 1427 model is the 3rd generation AppleTV and can stream internet content (movies, music, etc.) from Apple, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and other internet sites using 'apps' that are pre-loaded onto the unit. It can also stream content (movies, music, photos, etc.) from a mac computer running iTunes or an iPhone connected to your local network (via ethernet or wifi).
The newer AppleTV models can do the same but also allow you to download apps from the internet that will allow you to access newer streaming services that the 3rd generation unit cannot access (e.g. the Spectrum app, etc.).
Hope this helps.
A:AnswerThe AppleTV is only to the tv it is hooked up to. However, if you want to move it to another tv you just simply unplug the device with HDMI cable and connect it to another tv, without worrying about setting up the device again. All of the setup is done one time only so it is saved, so you will be able to disconnect and plug to a different tv with no problem.
A:AnswerThe Apple TV requires WiFi to be set up, but streaming apps from your phone on your tv (via Apple TV) is done by Bluetooth, and does not require WiFi.
A:AnswerYes, you can do this. The Verizon app on your phone can share to Apple TV. You might want to also try the streaming apps for channels you like to be loaded on the Apple TV. This will provide the best picture and will not tie up you phone
A:AnswerThe Apple TV has to have internet connection for it to work. If your dad doesn't have wifi, he can connect his Apple TV to his iPhone through his phone's personal hotspot. The Apple TV then will have wifi connection, therefore, will work and he can watch what he wants to on the Apple TV.
A:AnswerMy 3- Samsung TV’s (all smart) do not work with any Apple products nor do they work with new HBOMax (which I used to have through Amazon Prime but Amazon lost rights to HBO and fave no notice or auto refunds to customers paying fir HBO).
My answer has nothing to do with Best Buy it’s just that you will never be told about the Samsung incompatibility issue with Apple Products. You will never get an answer from A) Samsung B) an inexperienced sales clerk.. Samsung has their own streaming
platforms. I have Iphones/Ipads and they do not work with
Samsung. Periid..
