You can answer calls & make calls, as long as your iPhone that it is connected to is nearby.

Yes! You can either answer the call on your watch or tell it to answer the call on your phone. You can also use it to call people by either using your contacts or asking Siri. As long as you are within Bluetooth range with your phone it will work great!
