• According to an article I read today the series 3 is .25 mm thicker than the 2... Not sure if that will matter with a case, though.

• Yes, you can use the same bands, but I'm not sure about the cases. I have never used a case on mine. But I would like to know that answer myself.

• Some bands do fit others did not. I did not research the difference but I wish they all lined up easily.
