• No, it will work on GPS only models as long as it’s paird with an iPhone that can connect to the internet. Tips, enable FaceTime since it used FaceTime Audio

• No you do not have to have cellular to use walkie talkie--as long as your iphone is nearby to piggy back off of that you are good!
