• If you purchase iwatch series 4 gps only then you would need your phone all the time, however if you purchase the iwatch series 4 gps+cellular you do not need your Iphone and I think it is $10.00 a month for the extra feature through your carrier.

• No, you don’t have to have your iPhone at all times. If your iPhone goes out of range, it will still function either offline, or with limited functionality, depending on whether WiFi is available. There is no ongoing fee for the WiFi model. The Cellular model will require you to pay your carrier for ongoing service if you want to keep it on the cellular network.

• You’re phone has to be nearby (in the house or office) but not in your pocket or on your person. I leave mine on my desk and walk around the office without any problems. Same at home.
