• The one time fee for 2 year plan is just that, HOWEVER when I contacted Apple Support there are options to extend. I try to get the monthly because 1) I cancel when I want to 2) I don’t have to keep an eye on the end date of my 2 year plan.

• It is a 1 time fee. But if you thibk they are not working properly or correctly, call Apple and tell them. They may replace them.
