The 7-10 second delay that I get on my system means they are already at the door, and possibly gone before you know it. One of my biggest issues with this system. I want to catch them, not just post a video of their hidden face on nextdoor neighbor.

Please try again later.in our testing with the battery powered Arlo video doorbell; you can always talk to the front door if you see a microphone icon with no slash mark over it- on my arlo app on my phone- under devices- i have to press the play triangle which then starts playing the live feed video- and it shows a speaker icon and a microphone icon which indicates you can speak and listen. we also connected arlo to the amazon echo show- this was cool as alexa will announce if there is motion detected. if you bring up the live camera view on the echo show- it’s microphone is initially muted so you do need to click it to unmute so you can talk. it seems like all that can take some tweaking- i recommend contacting Arlo support via chat. as there are lots of settings in the Arlo app. so if you need to be sure you can talk to the doorbell make sure they press the doorbell. then you’ll get a call on your phone and that always allows the microphone.
