• No. You will get an immediate phone call. If you wire it to an existing wired doorbell system, it will also trigger your existing chime if its working.

• Since the Arlo Essential Video Doorbell can work wireless or wired it does not really matter. The wireless version will still work with your Arlo App and will call you directly on your cell phone if they ring the doorbell. If you've doorbell chime is not important to you this is a none issue.
