Yes. You can buy a weather resistant outdoor cable and power supply. As a matter of fact, if you subscribe to Arlos Smart, and the camera is plugged into power, it will continuously record a 3 second loop so that when motion is triggered, you will be able to see 3 seconds before it was triggered

This is WiFi and the battery will drain quickly in an area where there is frequent traffic. I have one plugged into the electrical outlet because the battery dies fast. I have it connected to an extension cord and I’ll just unplug it from the wall when it’s fully charged.

No. They run off of a rechargeable battery. You have to take
the camera down to charge the battery. Hope this answers your question.

You need to make sure the cord being used has a weather tight seal. Similar to the sealed connection on the solar panel accessory.

I don't think so. If I remember correctly, the only plug in the back of the camera is for charging the battery.
