QuestionAre the camera batteries rechargeable ?Over a six month period will the cameras need to be fed new batt. or are they rechargeable or plugged into a power supply.

- Answer The batteries will definitely not last 6 months unless you do not use it to record motion detection Secondly, the batteries are not rechargeable but you can buy and use rechargeable batteries to replace the included set of batteries....note that rechargeable batteries will not last as long and you will need to swap them out regularly to recharge them

- Answer On best video quality the Arlo I have goes to about 87 feet. I also downloaded to computer and cleared up with Photoshop to catch a vandal.

QuestionIs it possible to use 2 cameras at one site and 2 cameras at a different site from the 4 pack? Is a separate home base needed for both sites?

- Answer The base station is the wifi receiver for the cameras, cameras would need to be within 300ft of the base station. If the second site is more than 300ft away, a second base station will be required.

QuestionRecording?When triggered by motion, I know an alert can be sent, but can it be set up so the camera output begins recording (and either until motion stops or a set amount of time)? If so, is the recording to the base station or only to cloud storage (and is there a cost for that?). I'm looking for a system that auto-records on motion.

- Answer I've got the camera outside the backdoor scheduled to record for 60 seconds after motion is detected. I set up push notifications to my cell phone whenever there is motion detected. My other cameras are set up to just be available if I need to peek in on the kids. The recordings are all available in the cloud. I can access it from anywhere (but watch your phone's data). The software can also be used to only record motion during certain times of the day. Lots of different variables can be set up.

- Answer Yes. I have an Arlo Pro base and these cameras work fine. According to Netgear, all cameras work with all bases.

- Answer An included magnetic cord with USB is used to charge the battery. Simply place it on the bottom of the Ultra Camera & it sticks & electrically connects to the camera. You have the option of keeping power on the battery during use, if a wall outlet is handy. Thank you!

QuestionDo these need a door bell to be hooked up to? Because I bought them from Best Buy and the guy who came to install them said he couldn’t install them because I don’t have a door bell? If they are wireless cameras I don’t get why I need to hook up to that?

- Answer You bought the wireless cameras. The doorbell is a separate unit/purchase. You do not need a doorbell in order for the cameras to work.

QuestionSo we have a ton of wildlife in our yard. Does this camera notify you every time a squirrel , raccoon or fox gets in the view? If so what can I do about that?

- Answer Unfortunately you do get notifications every time any wildlife, including bugs, comes into the camera’s view. We haven’t found a solution to this yet, but it’s a small price to pay for the peace of mind we have now that we are able to watch our home when we are away!

QuestionI'm confused what is the base station for? If it connects with my wifi, why do I need another wifi base station? Is this base station wifi and will in interfere with my wifi router being connected so close to it?

- Answer The base station will plug directly into your Wi-Fi and communicates with your cameras. It will not interfere with Wi-Fi in any manner.
