Yes it will be clear you can also chose image quality but due to lack of a secure mounting bracket it can easly be stolen

I have one of my cameras pointing through the window and it is clear - I tried to use with screen on and it was not good.

The only problem with mounting it inside and aiming out a window is you might get a reflection off of the window. This is especially true if the window faces into the sun or you are using the infrared at night.

Yes, it will mount indoors to monitor an area looking outdoors. The video is high definition so the clarity will depend on the window it's looking out of.
