Man, I must still be missing something. See my photo. Mine has one set screw that locks the mounting plate (B) onto the piece that screws into the wall (A). The mounting plate (B) has the threads that the ball and camera housing (D) sits within and the collar (C) goes over the ball (D) and screws onto those threads. No set screw locking the collar (C) onto anything. So once the collar screws off the ball pops out and you're off with the camera. No?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There's a set screw at base of the piece that tightens the rotating ball along with an accompaning tool to tighten set screw. Not the most secure, but works. Can also purchase a mount that is more secure, but would be a pain to disassemble when you need charge the battery.
