So if you want a modem for faster downloads you will need a 3.1 modem, if your internet service provider is 1g+ capable, and you are paying for that service provisioning. With that being said Spectrum doesnt charge a modem rental fee, so if you are using them they will provide the correct modem at no cost. You can get your on router no need for a combo unit lile this one.
