• Purchased this modem to replace Cox modem. Although SBG10 is a combo modem, I kept my Apple WiFi modem for home networking. Installation was easy and works great.

• Hi Wally, Yes, you can upgrade to the SBG10 modem/router combo as it is based on the DOCSIS 3.0 technology with a AC1600 dual band router which will provide you both functionalities of the modem and the wifi router
