• We haven’t had that problem sounds like it has a short in the shaft of the mic maybe return for another you might just have a defective pair

• I checked right when I got mine in a lobby of COD, they seemed to say the mic sounded normal. Maybe try sitting further away or go into your ps4 settings and play with the audio options. There is some options in there regarding headsets/mics you might find helpful!
