Is Asus a good brand? I've been using Sony or Toshiba for the past several years. Is Asus a good brand & does it work hard?

Asus actually is ranked very well in reviews. We have been very pleased with our previous Asus product, a laptop purchased about 2years ago.

Idk about Sony but toshiba seems to be cheaply made and doesn't last near as long. Asus is a strong computer and seams to last longer and run more smoothly. Thats from my experience anyway

Asus is decent, but definitely not top of the line. We had one for about four years, prior to the one we just ordered. The old one's battery finally gave out and we needed some higher power anti-virus software. I think it got bogged down with a lot of extraneous trash from the internet. The next one will be appropriately protected. I think good value for the price.
