• Yes, you can upgrade this laptop to 8 GB of RAM. You only need a small phillips head screwdriver. It uses DDR3 RAM. Make sure that you purchase low voltage RAM. There is a video on YouTube that shows the steps involved. You have to remove the motherboard to perform the upgrade but it isn't as bad as it sounds. I would also recommend upgrading the hard drive to a SSD while you have it apart. These two upgrades make this a great budget laptop.
