You don't need to remove the installed 128GB SSD (it is hard to get to, as it is under the motherboard). The installed drive is an M.2 drive, so there is an empty SATA slot where you can add another SSD or hard drive. I have done this, and you can go into the BIOS and select which drive you want to boot from.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this model comes with a 128gb SanDisk m.2 2280 SSD. You can replace it with any brand but you have to lift the motherboard in order to access it. There is also an empty 2.5 sata ssd slot that's ready for additional memory. It's ready for install. All you need is the SSD, plug it in and mount the bracket. If you want to upgrade the RAM to 16 get a 8GB 2400Mhz DDR4 Non-ECC CL17 Single Rank SODIMM. This is located right next to the m.2 SSD so you have to lift the motherboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can be upgraded, but removing it will be a pain. I have not found any guides anywhere on this and it appears it could be tricky.
