• mine doesn't. I've heard the fan like once and just barely.

• This is my second ASUS laptop. I have had no problem with either one running hot or excessive fan running.

• I have used 12 hours straight in my office and I have never noticed become hot and if the fan turned on I could not tell it was on

• Mine runs hot. I suggest a supplemental fan base.

• The fan will come on when its in "high performance mode" but I only use that when gaming. It does get hot when gaming but the fans work pretty well. When doing all other things the fans do not come on.
