This actually does support NVME drives but only at X2 speeds not PCIE Gen 3 x4 Ive gotten speed tests, with 950 pro in this Asus Q505ua Laptop purchased from Best Buy, in the 1500MB/s in crystal diskmark

The laptop doesn't support NVME drive.
